Greetings and thanks for visiting Solar Heating Today. I want to tell you a bit about me.

Conservation of natural resources is my commitment and passion. I’ve spent 30 years helping agriculture producers to curb soil erosion, save water and now energy. I’m blessed everyday because I do what I love… conservation!

Like many people, I’ve developed a passion for renewable energy. Living in eastern Oregon I’ve observed the development of wind energy accelerate. Agriculture producers are starting to grow oil seed crops like camelina to make bio-fuels. Bio-diesel fueling stations are popping up in communities. Commercial wind farms have sprouted in wheat fields. You can find solar panels both PV and solar thermal on roofs today. Collectively, the green economy is growing when it makes economic sense.

My interest has taken me to explore solar thermal energy. This is what I see happening. The energy economy is growing like an embryo… very slowly.

I started looking at other types of renewable energy, and what I could do in my home. I thought that solar might work. Last year I decided to learn more about ways energy conservation and alternative energy sources to heat my home.

When I started, I didn’t know much about solar heating. I quickly learned that solar heating could be used for all kinds of heating for homes and businesses. As the price of energy continues to increase solar heating becomes an acceptable alternative.

I searched the internet and talked to people using solar heating to learn how solar heating works. The more I learned the more I wanted to share what I learned with people like you.
